Thanks to lithium-ion batteries, up to 3x faster charging and longer battery life. Management functions:

• The new graphic LCD display provides basic information on the UPS status and measured quantities on one screen (in seven languages of your choice). Advanced configuration options are also available with easy-to-understand navigation buttons.
• The UPS 5P can measure energy consumption in kWh, which can be monitored either on the LCD or using the Eaton Intelligent Power Software Suite.
• The load segments enable, in the event of a power failure, priority to shut down less important devices and extend the battery backup time for key devices. Segments can be managed remotely and restarted blocked data networks or create and activate time sequences of their shutdown and gradual start-up.
• The UPS 5P offers communication via serial or USB port. In addition, it has a plug-in slot for an optional communication adapter (including SNMP / Web card or relay contact card). Each UPS comes with an Eaton Intelligent Power Software Suite compatible with all major OSs, including virtualization software such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Parameters and energy efficiency

• Thanks to the optimization of the electrical design, the UPS 5P has an energy efficiency of up to 98%, thus reducing air conditioning costs and electricity consumption.
• When running on batteries (backup mode), the 5P UPS provides a high-quality output voltage profile that is required for all sensitive devices connected to its output, such as servers equipped with PFC (power factor correction).
• Users can extend battery life by extending the allowable input voltage range or setting the sensitivity of the input curve (using LCD or software), adapting the UPS to a specific environment (eg motor generator).
