It uses Omada Mesh technology for wireless connectivity and requires an Omada controller (OC200, OC300, Omada Software Controller, or Omada Cloud Controller in Standard or Essentials version). It cannot be used as an extender with APs/routers from other product lines (Archer, Deco) or from other manufacturers.
